Bahrain has been named the top expat destination in the Middle East, according to the InterNations Expat Insider 2021 survey.

Bahrain was ranked the 12th most popular destination for expats in the world, ahead of the Qatar in 17th and UAE in 18th out of a total of 59 countries analysed.
The InterNations Expat Insider 2021 survey ranks countries by different factors such as the quality of life, personal finance, working abroad and making friends.

Contributors to HSBC’s Survey had nothing but praise for Bahrain. Expat parents are particularly complimentary about the country, with three-quarters (75%) saying it is a safer place for their children than their home country (compared with a global average of 61%). Six in ten (60%) expat parents we spoke to also rated the quality of life.

In summary whilst overall around two-thirds (65%) say they saw the health of their children improve after moving (compared with a global average of 56%).

Expats in Bahrain are also one of the best in the world at integrating into the local culture without losing their home identities.

Bahrain was placed 5th overall globally and 1st in the Middle East.
